This beautiful example of a Luckenbooth brooch is by the renowned designer Ola Gorie. It is vintage, dating from the early 70s.
Luckenbooth brooches originated in Edinburgh and were given as love tokens as early as 1700. The name luckenbooth came from the shops or locked booths that made them.
This fine example is 3.3cm x 2.6cm and is marked to back OMG and ST SIL. The original leaflet is included and it will be sent in a new black box as shown.
