Sterling Silver Antique Bangle by Joseph Cook & Son - Hallmarked 1914
This beautiful bangle is in a Celtic design and is by the Birmingham silversmith Joseph Cook & Son, who were known for manufacturing items in the Celtic style. They were active from 1885 - 1939.
The bangle is marked with a date letter P, and I think it is the 1914 'P' as the other is for 1939, the year they stopped manufacturing.
The bangle is a knot design with a shield to front. It fastens securely and has a safety chain. It is 2.5cm wide and measures 5.7cm internally at widest, so would suit a slim wrist.
It is in great condition - I have given it a gentle clean to maintain some of the patina - and it will be sent in a new leatherette bangle box as shown.
