Antique Brass Inkwell or Incense Burner in the Style of an Imp

The lovely wee brass imp is one of the better ones of this type - the lid clearly shows the bird mask/skull that others don't.

He has an amazing face with eyes, beard and teeth visible and is just better quality! It was made in two parts and joined.

I know that these are usually sold as inkwells but I've yet to see one with a liner, so not so sure. It would make a brilliant incense burner as the smoke would come up through his ears or incense sticks could be placed there. 

It stands 7cm high and is pretty heavy, at 330g, being brass.
